Why do we stay in relationships we shouldn’t?
Why did she choose to stay with him if he treats her like shit?
These questions did not seem to make sense to me at first.
Elders would say, “Loneliness will make you do some crazy shit.”
I would look like, I guess… whatever, man.
However, there is more than the humor of youth behind the statement. There is an understanding of wisdom.
Lonely is the only thing you can’t logic away.
There is no statement that makes lonely like, “Damn, got me. Guess it’s time to go!”
Nah, words don’t cure loneliness for long. And the more you want a real connection, the harder it becomes to find because you know the exact connection you want. So anything won’t cut it. You want the right thing.
But lonely don’t care about none of that shit.
It says:
“Fill this space. It’s huge, empty, and it hurts.”
So though she thinks about me and loved me, she stays because… what if she’s wrong? What if I don’t take her back? Then what?
She is alone. 😱🫣
Well, why not just take the leap of faith?
That’s the only thing scarier than loneliness!
The jump and miss. 😮💨🫣😱😱
So now we are in a worse state.
I know you’re like, uhh, thank genius, didn’t know that. 😶🙄
I get it, but here is what I learned from that.
Dopamine.
Dopamine?
You need a big fat dopamine spike right now. Shake the lonely right off your bones.
There are many ways to do this. I suggest the healthy, healing ones. Because….
Why, folks?
Glad you asked…😁
Lonely will make you spiral, and when it starts, that shit will spin-cycle you into the arms of a toxic ex just to get healing?
No, dummy.
DOPAMINE.
So stop spiraling and go do what makes you feel like a kid again.
That childhood feeling before everything adult took your heart to darker places.
And there, you will find your partner—the perfect partner you seek.
