Bruh… Really 😶😵

What Do We Do It For?

If we all end up the same way, what do we do it for?
If we all meet death in the end, why be so disconnected when we have the chance to feel a connection?

I believe we choose to come into these bodies to experience this life. Love, pain, joy, loss, laughter, heartbreak, family, friendship—connection.
That’s what I believe.
You don’t have to believe that for the question to still matter.

Because regardless of how you believe we got here, we’re here.
Yet somehow, we forget that.
We build walls.
We hold grudges.
We let pride keep us from speaking.
We spend years missing people we could simply call.

Then somebody dies.
And suddenly everything gets simple.
The argument doesn’t seem as important.
The pride doesn’t seem as important.
You remember the conversations.
The laughs.
The things you should’ve said.
The time you thought you had.
We know how this ends.
Not when.
Not how.

But we know none of us stays here forever.
So why does it sometimes take death to remind us to appreciate life?
Why does losing connection remind us how badly we wanted it?
I believe I came here to experience this.
Maybe you believe something completely different.

That’s cool.
I’m not here to tell you what to believe.
I’m asking:
While you’re here, what are you doing with the opportunity to connect?
Because one day, neither one of us will have that opportunity anymore.
Until then, we’re here.
Together.
Maybe we should remember that more often.
