Simple Is Complex
Foremost, I would like to thank you for reading and being with me at this moment. As nothing is by chance.
Whatever resonated with you about this post, I will do my best to make a clear, thought-provoking post.
I have always been a simple person in a world of complexity.
In the earlier stages of my life, I did not understand why I was drawn to the simplest form of things.
Now that I am at a different stage in my life, I understand that this comes from my belief that simple is complex.
For example, let’s take cooking eggs.
We’re not talking about your favorite eggs, just run-of-the-mill salt and pepper and cook.
Simple, right?
Ever had someone not complete a task to the satisfaction of the taste buds?
(If this was you. Uhh, still read on 🤷🏾♂️😁)
Another example: Ever given someone a simple hello and ended up in a conversation with dynamics that you have no idea how you got there?
(If this was you. 🤦🏾♂️ Uhh, still read on 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️😁)
The complexity of the world we live in continues to grow, which, in my opinion, makes simple seem boring.
Why have a boring regular cake when I can have a cake shaped like Thor’s hammer for my birthday?
But if the cake sucks, does it really matter how it looks?
That’s my point.
Somewhere along the way, we started confusing more with better.
More options. More features. More explanations. More steps.
Sometimes more is better.
Sometimes it’s just more.
Maybe simple was never boring.
Maybe we just forgot how much complexity is hiding inside something that simply works.
That’s why I’ve always been drawn to simple things in a complex world.
