There was a time in my life where “never” was a word I used improperly.
I’ll never this. I’ll never that.
Sounding stupid as hell honestly.
It’s like the word forever… that’s a long time. We know that, but do we really think about how we use it in our lives?
On to the Prompt:
I said I would never fly.
Of course not anymore. The CIA frowns on that sort of thing… LBVS.
But all BS aside… (Or is it?) I meant in an airplane.
For whatever reason, I said I would never fly. I said I would drive or take a boat.
Quick sidenote:
You see, it’s dumb shit like that I said out loud that, looking back at it…
MAAAAN, I ain’t taking no f@#%ing boat to where I was talking about going… overseas.
Stop laughing at me, all my friends across any “ponds,” as my Mates would say.
N-e who….
So I take my first flight.
Lines weren’t that bad. TSA was cool.
I board. I fly…
Scared shitless.
Again, all my frequent fliers… wipe the smile off your face. I was a virgin.
But in all, it wasn’t bad.
I got a story out of it, and now it’s an option for travel like it should’ve been all along.
Because let’s be honest…
In this day and age, who the F wants to take a boat across a moat?
