It’s time to get into some ol’ gangsta shid.
Naw, don’t go get the mop stick. I’m talking about spiritual gangsta shid.
To bear your own “cross” is the most spiritually gangster shid you can ever do, in my opinion.
To bear the weight of the cross and continue to help and strive for greatness.
Fucking Gangster Bruh!
Mel Gibson did an excellent job of showing how this metaphorically works.
To bear your cross, heavy as it may be, means carrying a weight that may be impossible for somebody else to carry.
When the man tries to carry the cross for Jesus, he couldn’t even lift it off the ground.
Beaten, bloody, and being shamed as he was being led to his death, Jesus still had the strength to bear his cross.
The part I remember is how he looked at the man like:
“Yeah, heavy than a bitch, ain’t it.”
And the man looks like:
“It really is Him.”
Now let’s get to the hypothesis of the day:
What happens when you turn a cross on its side?
It makes an “X.”
This is where I’m going with it today.
An X in math is multiplication and the unknown.
Did you hear what I said?
What are you getting at, Folkz?
Glad you asked.
When the cross is standing still, it is a “tree” planted.
It can be shown off and it can be hyped up to the heights of heaven.
And you also can be nailed to it.
You can be burnt on it.
You can hide it, it can be found, and you can be shamed by it.
People can pick it up and chase you out of town because you never picked it up and took it with you.
That’s where I end today.
I’ll pick it back up tomorrow.
But I hope this one inspires some comments and conversation.
No guru energy.
I know there are some deep thinkers on here that will max us out.
