Stop Looking for the Back Door

The front door is open.

But the house is heavily protected.

I figure 85% of people will walk right past the open door without even seeing it. They’re too busy looking for a back door.

Another 10% will see the front door wide open and think it’s a trap. It can’t be that simple. There has to be another way in. So they’ll start looking for the “real” door.

That last 5%?

That’s where discernment comes in.

They’ll see the open door for exactly what it is.

But seeing the door doesn’t automatically give you access to the house.

For years, I was an open door from every direction. Front door. Side door. Back door. Hell, sometimes people didn’t even need a door.

Not anymore.

The side doors are locked, boarded up, or completely destroyed depending on who you are.

But I’m still open.

The front door is right there.

The difference is now I decide who gets to come inside.

Open heart.

Open door.

Heavily protected house.

And I hold the key.
