I would love to have dinner with my brothers.
Since my brothers have passed from the flesh, I’m sure they have wisdom beyond our wildest dreams.
Which is another thing I would like to find out.
When they crossed over, did one or both of them reincarnate?
Or did they complete their mission on the other side and decide to return to Source?
Maybe they’re all a part of my spiritual protection team?
I’ve always known that though I walk alone, I am not alone.
Would me wanting them to come back just to have that conversation be selfish?
Would that mean I haven’t completely let go?
Or can I accept that their journey may have continued while still wishing I could sit across the table from my brothers one more time?
Then, of course, I would love to talk to my granny!
But…
Where does the line between remembering and holding on to the past begin or end?
At what point does honoring the people we love become holding on to something we’re supposed to release?
This is something I may ask myself for years to come.
When a person is a staple in your life, and they pass away, how do you continue to move when your moves were their moves too?
Do you make posts on platforms?
Release balloons?
Is that really for you?
For them?
Or is it for the show?
I really don’t have the answer for that myself, so I won’t act like I do.
I know one thing, though.
It sure is wonderful thinking about the possibilities.
Maybe that’s part of what remembering is.
Not having every answer. Not knowing exactly where they are, what comes next, or what exists beyond what we can see.
Just allowing yourself to wonder.
To remember.
To smile at the possibilities.
And still keep moving forward.
I’d love to know what you think.
Oh yeah, who loves you, baby?
