Who do you spend the most time with?

I have always remained in a small group of people. Most of which I grew up with or had been through trials with and I consider family.
I’m not big on having a bunch of people I know, I prefer quality over quantity.
This trait served me well for many years. My close-knit band of outsiders and I thrive on each other’s wisdom and motivation.
This created an underlined strength for me that could be called upon in times of need. Vice versa.

However, what happens when the parts of your inner circle die one by one?
Do you mourn and leave their space in your life forever empty?
Would you immediately start interviewing their replacements?
How would you handle such situations?
This is where I am right now in midlife.
Knowing that these people can not be replaced, added to the fact that it takes time to build a lasting friendship, saddens me.
At first, I “upgraded” the friends who were not in the inner circle of my life but were still close friends.
I’m not sure if you have tried this yourself, but it’s not as easy as it’s seems scientifically.
I.e. If I have close friends who are close to “inner circle” status, then I would make sense that these people would move into the emptied space.
Wrong!
It became clear to me why the inner circle was as close to me as they were. They earned it.

I recently started to open up to the idea of finding new friends.
In hindsight, I remembered why I added these people into my life in the first place. They brought new energy and experiences.
The problem that I have been running into is: People are jaded from the past and are skeptical of adding new friends into their lives.
Can not say that I can blame them.
If you are like me, you spend most of your time with coworkers.
Frankly speaking, that has the potential of ruining the way you look at that person.
I’m sure you can relate in some way or another.
Okay, Folkz, what’s your point?🤔
It’s just my way of explaining why I have been hanging with me, myself, and I.
My name is Kinfolk Wellin, and I thank you for your time.

P.S. Thank you to everyone who has supported my YouTube page growth!
Anyway, you can provide feedback on any of the projects is welcome.
As I am a man of many hats, my channel is not focused on any particular niche. I am the niche.
