A Man of Many Hats 🧢

What jobs have you had?

Like most of us, I am a man of many hats.

However, if you have read my blog, you understand that I look at these questions from a different perspective.

Life is and always will be multifaceted, requiring us to take on many different tasks and situations.

These tasks may not “be work ” in the traditional sense of the word, but they do provide compensation in other forms.

What is a Job?

To me, this means completing various scenarios and going through multiple events in life that are required to progress forward.

A job to me is more than a task you get money to complete.

It is more of an undertaking with great weight or value to the person. (In my definition.)

Though the task might pay in the monetary sense, it does provide the person a form of payment; energy.

Being a father is a job. (Scratch that being a parent is a job.)

One that does not pay in the ways that a capitalist would like, but the payment is delivered in due time.

My children inspire me to continue to grow and learn.

Spending time talking about what is on their young minds empowers me to be a better parent as well as a better person.

I am amazed by the ideas and questions they bring to me at times.

Some of the most thought-provoking questions have been brought to me by my children.

My daughter is 25 and is the pulse of the world right now!

In my opinion, the twenties are the time of expression and shaking of any outdated thinking or speech.

These are the young men and women who write the specific code that the “new age” will follow. (I.e. the teens and pre-teens.)

My son is 12. This is the stage that I spoke about above.

My son watches his older siblings and has the privilege of taking the pieces that he wishes to cultivate or taking his path when the time comes.

Being a father of children within these ranges gives me another perspective of the cycles of life.

Each year as I watch them both grow into a new stage of life, which reminds me of the former stages I’ve been in myself.

I as their father and elder to them, share my life experience, and they as my children give me a connection to their youth in this changing world.

We talk and share this bond of life.

Each teaches and builds connections that expand the bridges and gaps of time.

Though I wear many hats in this life father is the best paying job I have ever had!

My name is Kinfolk Wellin and I thank you for your time.
