And she Never Cooked Again!

Write about your most epic baking or cooking fail.

Introduction – I know how to Cook

I grew up in a house full of cooks.

Well, except my aunt whom just couldn’t seem to get it right.🤔🫣

My mother and grandmothers taught me how to cook at a very young age.

My grandmothers were extremely good cooks.

I would sit in the kitchen and watch my great-grandmother cook.

It’s one of my fondest memories from my early childhood.

The TMI – The Girlfriend

I dated a woman off and on for about ten years.

She would cook most of the time, and wasn’t a bad cook at all.

She wasn’t a “stand over the stove all day” type of woman but she could cook certain things well.

In the beginning of our relationship she said “I am the type of person who doesn’t eat everyone’s cooking.”

To which I responded “Me either.”

One day we got into a debate over cooking, she said that she felt like I should cook sometimes.

As I said I know how to cook, cooked most of my life for myself and others.

So I said “No problem. I am going to cook steaks.”

She just gave me the “I wanna see this face.”

So, I am cooking dinner and she is coming in and out the kitchen as smells begin to creep through the house.

Telling me this smells good or asking why I did this or that?

It comes time to eat and she asks “So where is this steak?”

“It’s in the oven.” I tell her.

So, I fix our plates and sit down to eat.

She studies her plate like a child looking at a plate full a vegetables at first.

Smelling this, picking through that.

Then she knods her head and cuts and peice of the steak.

So, is there a Point?🤔

Yes, she destroyed her plate!

It looked like the walking dead came through the plate. 🤏🏾🤣🤣🤣

And she never cooked again!

So, what cha thinkin’?🤔

Do you feel I could use “a steak” for this prompt?

How do you cook your steaks?

Who does the cooking in your house?

Has the cooking become one sided in your family?

Don’t be cringe, drop the answers in the comments when you stop by.

I dont bite… people. 🤣🤣🤣
