What could you try for the first time?

The question reminded me that I had a big first in my life this year.
I took my first flight this year! I flew from Colorado, the New Amsterdam of America, to my hometown of St. Louis, Missouri.
I have always been afraid to fly my whole life. I would say things like:
“I would rather drive so I can smoke without being bothered.”
“If God wants me to fly, He will send me the plane ticket.”
Or my personal favorite:
“When it comes time to sign the deal, I will jump on the plane!”
Rubbish!

I don’t know if it’s because of my mother transferring her fear from the flights she had in her life to me. Or it could be my fears, growing up in the 80s, hearing about plane crashes.

I would be the first to admit I didn’t have a valid reason to be afraid to fly.
However, I still had to tell anyone who would listen or ask about flying.
Though this might be an okay, what “I fly all the time.” moment for some

But this was a massive step for me, and I plan to experience it again soon!
