Fame is a beast that must be fed. Maybe this why after getting my stage call, I decided to take the notoriety and ran.
When I was in my 20s, there was a deals offered to me and my brother from various underground labels. We decided not to take these offers because we had our eyes on bigger fish in the pond. Major labels where the way to go back then we thought. Get On then take the fame and money to start our own label. Free of the industry BS and tricks.
To be famous in these times means something totally different. Its not really fame, more like being super popular amongst a handful of people or followers. In order to have this popularity you must be willing to give up your private life or invent a whole production for the world to view as real life.
I have never been a fan of Love and Hip Hop, which probably why I don’t chase fame or popularity.
I rap for those who are liken to me, they feel the love and the power in my words.
