Welcome to St. Louis, Baaaby!

What’s one thing that would instantly improve your city?

What’s one thing that would instantly improve my city?

Mine doesn’t need more beauty.

We already have that.

The scenery is beautiful. The natural energy of the state is beautiful. There’s history, character, pride, and a real sense of home here.

But beauty can hide tension.

And if you live here long enough, you can feel it.

There’s this resting bitch energy in the air.

It’s hard to explain because we are friendly people. We’re emotional too, and a lot of that comes from being passionate about what we love.

That’s beautiful, Folkz. So what’s the problem?

Glad you asked.

It depends on what we love.

That sounds obvious, but it’s worth a second thought.

If what we love is family, friendship, support, growth, and learning, then that passion can build something beautiful.

But what if it’s the opposite?

What then?

Do those same emotions still look like passion?

Or do they become something we need to examine a little closer?

We’ve been in the news for things that aren’t so good too.

I believe if we find a way to positively express these emotions, and share that energy with people from the city, the state, and even visitors, the city as a whole can become just as beautiful as the scenery.

Because the beauty is already here.

Maybe the real improvement is learning how to let the people reflect it too.
