Teaching AI Introspection
I asked ChatGPT to track my numbers, and it turned into something I didnโt expect:
Me teaching AI introspection.
Which brought me to the realization that we expect AI to be perfect because it is a machine.
No emotions. No bad days. No personal problems. Just information and execution.
That is part of why we use it. We expect robotic effectiveness.
But when it made the same mistakes I have experienced with people, I found myself teaching AI the same lesson: understanding why you made the mistake means nothing if the behavior keeps repeating.
The irony is that I came to AI to avoid human error and somehow ended up teaching it introspection.
But that leaves me with one question:
If we made AI, and we are imperfect, can we create a perfect being?
