When a person carries a consistently negative attitude and energy, it can be damaging.
That may sound dramatic, but if you look at how it affects people and environments, I don’t think it is.
Think about it like this:
A person with a nasty attitude spreads that energy through conversations and interactions. Whether the people around them are already negative or not, that energy can be amplified or passed from one person to the next, and then the next. Before long, an entire environment can feel different.
If you’ve ever worked around someone like this, you’ve probably seen it firsthand.
This is why I say it’s dangerous. When people constantly feel stressed, drained, or emotionally worn down, it can take a toll on them mentally and physically. Ironically, how does a consistently negative person usually leave you feeling?
Then, once the whole environment is filled with tension and chaos, that same person often seems carefree while still finding something to complain about.
In my opinion, these are dangerous people. Whether they mean to or not, they often pull others into their mood and negative outlook for reasons that are their own.
Whatever those reasons may be, I will almost always choose to leave or avoid people like this. Protecting your peace isn’t weaknessβit’s wisdom.
I thank you for allowing me to vent.
What do you think about people like this? How do you handle these situations?
My name is Kinfolk Wellin’, and I thank you for your time and support.
Peace.
