What’s your all-time favorite album?

💡 Preamble – No Clue
I saw this question and I saved it thinking that I would be able to narrow it down later.
I can say that I haven’t quite yet, maybe it will come to me talking to You my blog family.

👋🏾 Introduction – Here goes nothing
I have always been a big music fan.
I grew up in a house full of musically talented people.
I have covered this in a previous post I’m sure so I will not go into details about it here.
I will say it was a musically diverse house as far as the musical selections.
My great-grandmother who lived with us would listen to gospel music, mainly the choir from our church’s main tabernacle in Philadelphia.
She was a devoted Christian and took it very seriously.
My grandma was more of a rhythm and blues type of listening: Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, etc.
Granny had a great selection of oldies that she would play.
I don’t know them by name but I know them by sound.
As a child, my Granny would laugh at me as I tried to sing along with her oldie-be-goodies.
My aunt who also lived with us was a ragamuffin and preferred Reggae music.
A local band from St Louis The Burning Spears, Bob Marley (of course), Peter Tosh, etc.
She would play songs for me like Rainbow County, and I shot the Sheriff.
Two songs that I enjoyed singing with my aunt.
My mother who I more than likely get my musical tastes preferred hip-hop.
Don’t get me wrong Mom would play lots of types of music but her go-to was hip hop, particularly the hard stuff.
Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, 2pac (her baby), Biggie, Naughty by Nature, etc.

💡 The TMI – Still drawing a _
I guess I’m the last person left.
But I am still drawing a blank on My Goat album.
So I will end this post with my top 5:
- Ice Cube – The Death Certificate
- Snoop Dogg – Doggy style
Come to think of it that’s about where it would stop.
I choose based on me actually playing the album cover to cover.
These are my stand alone.
Runner ups include:
1 Bone Thug n Harmony – E 99 Eternal
2 Jeezy Thug Motivation 101
3 2Pac All Eyez on Me
4 Biggie Ready to Die
5 50Cent Get Rich…
6 Eminem The Slim Shady/ Marshall Mathers LP
These albums didn’t make The Goat list because I didn’t play these albums cover to cover I skipped through a lot of the songs.
The songs I did play I played them a lot so they got the runner-up list.
And there you have it. I know I did not technically answer the question but hopefully, you can see where I was heading with it.
Now that I’m at the end of the post…
I have to declare Ice Cube the winner.
Doggy style was cool, but it wasn’t harder than Death Certificate.
