Basement Shelves

Today I found a lost peice of myself

Somewhere on a deep down in the basement shelves of self

Calling out to me in a low aching throb

I have reached outside to long seeking to complete the job

Yet the throb continued now as a crying child in search of his mother

Father or maybe his lost brother

Either way the cry beckons me to dig deeper – into the darkness

Being heartless – ignoring the crying voice for gains of monetary satisfaction

Compacting the dissatisfaction

Until the child’s cries become contemptuous

Rambunctious

Yes, Today I found a lost peice of myself

Somewhere on a deep down in the basement shelves of self

My name is Kinfolk Wellin’, and I thank you for your time.
