Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.

Dear Kendricks,
First I wanted to apologize for the big party.
We are not the biggest on birthday parties, but TURN UP, as they used to say so long ago!
I know we have come out of our shells in ways I can’t imagine now.
The room contains family members: our children, grandchildren, friends, and distinguished guests.
I know there are so many situations and trials that I think are dragons in my life that you would tell me are barely lizards in the grand plot of my life.
I apologize for the times I did not believe in you as strongly as I could have.
I thank you for speaking with me in the present to ensure a strong future.
If I had one wish for our birthday, it would be to talk with you about the wisdom we have collected over the last century.
I want you to know that I love you, and I will always have your back.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOUNG MAN!
Love,
