But You can’t Make ’em Drink

Bloganuary writing prompt
Where can you reduce clutter in your life?

This year, I removed the people who do not want to grow. This separation is not selfish or vengeance. It’s just a part of life.

Every successful person has talked about this in various stages of life. There comes a time of reckoning that may lead to a parting of ways between two connected parties.

We love our loved ones and want to do what we can to help them ‘live their best life.’
This love doesn’t mean we can choose the ‘best life’ for that person.

This post’s position was inspired by my talk with my daughter about what’s happening in her life.
The age-old problem was that you can lead a horse to water but can’t make it drink.

No matter how much you give an opportunity, it doesn’t mean the person will take it. In my life, I have been on both ends of the equation.

The closer you are to the person, the more the hunger to see them make it; it’s not meant for everyone to make it, which is the harsh truth.

I am honest with myself; I do not have the personality to be famous.
I’m awkward in most social settings due to my naturally withdrawn demeanor and aurora.

Not being able to read me throws people off and makes them uncomfortable, which is understandable.
Plus, I am not in a rush to clear up the misunderstanding if there is no benefit to doing so.
So this would make for something other than ‘Good TV.’
