You’ve Got Mail, AOL

Have you ever noticed how you don’t pay attention to your notifications until you’re waiting on that specific one?

That payment was posted to the account. That invoice finally came so I could pay it and move to the next step.

Which brings me to my title. In the first days of public internet there was only email. And to hear the phrase: “You got mail.” meant that you are apart of the cutting edge of the technology.

At this stage the internet was a sloth compared to the speeds one can access the web in 2023.

It was common practice to go to a website and walk off. Why? It may take like ten minutes to load at this time in technology.

I remember being a teenager and young adult experiencing these times in the world. I fast forward, and we now have public A.I.

At first, I was against such information, as if blocking out of my life would make the technology obsolete.

Then I heard “You Got Mail!”

This was my higher self sending me a message. And I thought about what I was attempting to do. Are you going to truly become an old man today, Kendricks? Arms crossed at new horizons and futures?

No! I refuse! 😤

I can not stop my body from aging. I can not be Kinfolk, strong-willed, good-hearted, hot head, forever.

But I can continue to have a child like curiosity about life’s new updates.

Thank you for your time. Here is my Brand Content. Feel free to check it out or not either way, I still thank you for the support.
