What’s the story behind your nickname?
As the saying goes, you don’t choose your nickname. One is given to you. This very true. I was given my nickname by my brother (Wild) and a members of Folks (Solo G). I lived in Kinloch, Missouri at the time. (early 20’s) They decided to call me Kinfolk, and the rest is history as they say. I added Wellin to the end of my name for the second nickname I was given ‘Lord Willing’ in Decatur, Illinois. I didn’t like the name but that’s what people called me so I ran with it. Personally I thought it name sounded arrogant. However they gave me that name for a popular mixtape song I made called ‘Lord Willing’. I said “Lord Willing” after my punchlines so they thought my name was ‘Lord Willing’. I later changed the Willing to Wellin and made it a whole name: Kinfolk Wellin’ was born.
